What we do

According to the World Bank Global trade estimates, a one percent reduction in maritime and air transport services can account for as much as US$7.98 billion (2004) dollars. If trade facilitation is considered in a broader sense, there are four categories to consider port efficiency, customs environment, regulatory environment, and service sector infrastructure.

The Shipping Act of 1998 reshaped the regulatory environment giving vessel operators the ability to use confidential rate agreements, which covers around 80 percent of the market, the remaining 20 percent has to shop for rates. The relationship between rate confidentiality and rule enforcement is complex, therefore, a web site for shopping shipping costs is very important to consumers of transportation services.

We have taken the first step by designing a calculator that provides shippers and other users with a planning tool for trading merchandise in any part of the world. The calculation is based on a weight average of a group of rates on a given route which makes it a unique marketing and planning tool for obtaining generic shipping costs and shipping time.
